மும்பையில் உள்ள கமலா மில்ஸ் என்ற அடுக்குமாடி கட்டடத்தில் 3வது தளத்தில் நள்ளிரவு சுமார் 12.30 மணியளவில் பயங்கர தீ விபத்து ஏற்பட்டது. இத்தீ விபத்தில் இதுவரை 14 பலியாகியுள்ளதாகவும், 16 பேர் வரை காயமடைந்துள்ளதாகவும் தகவல்கள் தெரிவிக்கின்றன.
மத்திய மும்பையில் பரேல் பகுதியில் உள்ளது கமலா மில்ஸ். இந்த அடுக்கு மாடி கட்டிடத்தில் ஸ்டார் ஹோட்டல்கள், டைம்ஸ் நவ், டி.வி. 9, ரேடியோ மிர்ச்சி, ரெஸ்டாரெண்ட், பப், மற்றும் வணிக வளாகங்களும் இயங்கி வருகிறது.
இதனால் 24 மணி நேரமும் பரபரப்பாகவே அந்த கட்டடம் காணப்படும் நிலையில், அங்கு 6-ஆவது மாடியில் நேற்று நள்ளிரவு ௧௨:௩௦ க்கு பயங்கர தீவிபத்து நடைபெற்றது. இந்த தீ மளமளவென பரவி கட்டடம் முழுவதும் பரவியது. இதில் 15 பேர் பலியாகிவிட்டனர். மேலும் 16 பேர் காயமடைந்துள்ளனர். அவர்களில் ஒருவர் கவலைக்கிடமான நிலையில் உள்ளார். தீயணைக்கும் பணி தொடர்ந்து நடந்து வருகிறது. பலி எண்ணிக்கை மேலும் அதிகரிக்கும் என அஞ்சப்படுகிறது.
